About David
A Lifelong Commitment to Duty and Justice
David Jenkins has lived a life devoted to public service. At age 17, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, served a combat tour in Iraq at age 19, and then became a Non-Commissioned Officer where he led other Marines. That experience taught him what it truly means to be a leader by putting others before yourself, to operate under pressure, and to hold the line when it matters most.
After his military service, David brought those same values to the practice of law. As a prosecutor, he has spent years working with the justice system understanding its strength, recognizing its shortcomings, and pursuing justice in all of its forms.
David believes the County Attorney’s Office is one of the most consequential in local government. It sets the tone for how justice is administered, how victims of crimes are treated, and how our community’s safety is protected. David is running because he believes that office requires active, experienced, and transparent leadership.
David is a dedicated prosecutor who is running for County Attorney because he cares deeply about how the County Attorney’s Office affects our community, victims of crime, and our local law enforcement agencies.
In the Marines, my platoon sergeant always said to do the right things, at the right times, for the right reasons. That is the same principle that I will bring to the County Attorney’s Office.
